Colonial Pipeline, the biggest refined products pipeline firm in the United States, has suffered a massive cyber-attack, according to the company. The corporation has halted all pipeline activities as a result of the incident.

Earlier in the day, the company confirmed “network problems,” which turned out to be a large-scale attack. Colonial said it has enlisted the assistance of an undisclosed cybersecurity company to address the issue, and it has also informed the authorities.
The cyber-attack could interrupt fuel supply throughout the United States. Colonial is the largest refinery pipeline provider in the United States, exporting 2.5 million barrels of oil, diesel, and jet fuel every day through its extensive pipeline network. It transports approximately 45 percent of the fuel supply for the entire US East Coast, according to the group.
