In this clip, Andrew Yang admits Biden promised him a future position. These comments raised eyebrows among Tulsi Gabbard’s supporters. You see, Yang said his endorsement would go to the Democrat that comes out for universal basic income (UBI). The day after Andrew Yang dropped out, Gabbard did that. But Andrew Yang backtracked on his promise. No endorsement for Gabbard. Some of Gabbard’s supporters cried foul. They believe, after hearing the comments in this video, Biden bribed Yang. Yang: We talked, and, uh, y.. I mean I’d have a place in the administration is the pretty clear message.
McKelvey: You endorsed Joe Biden. But I remember you saying you wouldn’t endorse a candidate who didn’t endorse universal basic income. And Biden never has.
Yang: Well what I said was, endorsing universal basic income would be a way come out and support you.
